Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra appears yet another attempt to relaunch Rahul Gandhi. Party president elections are due next month, a post Rahul resigned from three years ago. He has again indicated he doesn’t want the job, even as the party implodes in one state after another with Goa being the latest. The question thus arises, if not Rahul, then who? Enter Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor has already said that for the sake of strengthening Congress inner party democracy, he is not averse to throwing his hat into the ring.
