Thanks a lot for this initiation for public interaction. Now it is sure that BJP will in between 180 to 205 seats. I would to know why BJP targeting Odisha and West Bengal voters in 2024. Trading of Contestant and weapontising the ED, CBI etc is not against of Democracy. Are there civilians safe
Thank you for your question. The BJP-led central government observes no legal restraints in using the ED and CBI against anyone who it perceives as its enemy. So civilians are not safe in such a regime as all are vulnerable to arbitrary and baseless investigations and arrests
Anand Ranganathan, a scientist and author, has written a book called "Hindus in the Hindu Rashtra - Eighth Class Citizens and Victims of State Sanctioned Appartheid" in which he mentions 8 areas across which Hindus have been discriminated against. Your response on the book as a secular politician and an author?
Thank you for your question. Today there is not a single Muslim in the ruling party–BJP–of 303 members. Muslim representation in parliament is consistently falling. Today the entire class of government officials, industrialists, lawyers, higher judiciary, top media personalities, are all dominated by Hindus. According to NHFS-5 data, the decline in fertility rates is sharpest among Muslims. According to BBC figures 82-97% victims of terrorist attacks are Muslims. The Sachar Committee report showed that one out of 25 students in undergraduate colleges and one in 50 in post graduate colleges are Muslims. So Hindus are supposed to be victims?. Not according to the facts.
Wouldn't you think India would be cleaved into many like how it happened in Yugoslavia if BJP continues to propagate communal politics for five more years?
Thank you for your question. Good one! If the BJP continues with its politics of division and hatred, India may be confronted with disturbing consequences .
First of all, I want you to read this article carefully https://scroll.in/latest/1007895/preventive-detention-ex-bureaucrats-flag-amendment-that-has-not-been-notified-for-43-years Section 3 of 44th constitutional amendment act, 1978 hasn't been brought into force so far. There has been excessive, unexplained & unconscionable delay of 45 years. Don't you think that it is matter of immense & serious concern that constitutional provision hasn't been brought into force for almost 5 decades (45 years delay)? This crucial constitutional amendment has remained only on paper and it is yet to be enforced. Governments at centre from 1980 to 2024 have brazenly turned a blind eye towards this significant constitutional provision & no efforts have been made to enforce this provision. Would you raise this issue in Rajya Sabha? Would you ask the Law minister that why this important constitutional amendment has not been brought into force so far? Don't you think that 45 years delay is too much?
Thank you for your question. The provisions of preventive detention need to be re-examined urgently given how the Modi regime is weaponising the law to slam political rivals behind bars. This amendment is indeed a crucial one and needs to be taken up in the House. The PMLA act, up-hauled and made more draconian by the Modi government has made bail almost impossible.
Maam I'm a doctor , Passed mbbs this year The central government abolished mci n brought nmc in 2020 This has made Medical education a joke As there is an sudden increase in mbbs seats There is a compromise on issuing approvals to Medical Colleges And this disproportionate increase in mbbs seats will lead to lack of jobs for doctors in future We may have more doctors to patients ratio Kindly bring this to the notice of the health ministry n parliament and do the needful Thank you maam
Thank you so much. I understand your concerns very well. My son is an ENT surgeon. As a medical aspirant he faced a great deal of uncertainty as his batch was the first year that took the NEET exam, but they also had to take the other entrance exams, as in the first year of NEET, the system had not been properly organised. It was a traumatic experience. The manner in which the Modi government is mistreating the medical and healthcare sector is a scandal.
Hi, none of the political parties has spoken about impact of climate change, poor air quality, sustained development etc. These are crucial issues for common citizens & they hugely will impact our daily life in years to come. Your views !
Thank you for your question. The All India Trinamool Congress is committed to working for the environment and is committed to sustained environment. We have listed details about our sustainability programmes in our manifesto
Hi Mam. I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to ask a question. If you see in today's India, then it is evident that the democracy of our country which was formed to secure the fundamental rights of the citizens is in someway erasing from the constitutional framework. Whoever is speaking against the government are jailed and termed as anti-national. Now my question is if the BJP government forcibly comes to power for the third time, then what will be the alternative way to save our democracy and the voice of the people?
Thank you for your question. If the BJP comes to power again, there will be no way to save our Constitution or save our democracy. 2024 may be the last general election we see. The BJP intends to nullify our Constitution. The Constitution gives us our basic rights and freedoms. These will cease to exist.
