As the title suggests, Sagarika Ghose talks about the importance of liberalism in India. She mentions that the liberal freedom helps societies grow as it represents individual freedom. Freedom to succeed and fail, freedom to achieve your wants, and to see your ideas getting dashed, freedom to be wrong, are the most important drivers of change. She stresses the fact that freedom helps us to achieve what liberty means. An economy can grow as individual freedom creates a spirit of bold entrepreneurship. She gives an example of Mahatma Gandhi who was the greatest supporter of liberty. It is important to relearn the principles of democracy. She concludes by telling all to embrace liberty and lawful pursuit of individual freedom to bring the change in society.
